Chicken Wing Dissection

Eighth graders in Ms. Kaylor’s and Mrs. Biebighauser’s classes learned all about and got to dissect a chicken wing. They learned about the skin, fat and muscles of a chicken. They learned how a chicken wing is a lot like a human arm and when you pull up on the chicken’s bicep muscle the wings comes up and when you pull down on the tricep the wing straightens out. Some thought this was really funny and called it the “chicken dance”.
