Creating A Balloon Powered Car in Ms. Showalter's Class

Students in 6th grade math were challenged to create a car out of miscellaneous items that will travel at least 5 feet using a balloon to power it. Students used the engineering design process to plan, create a model, test the model, and redesign when necessary. Students also included a graph for the average speed, included 2-D and 3-D shapes in their design, and finally figured the total cost of creating the car.sssss
