Mrs. Ehrstein's Design & Modeling Class Made Corn Hole Boards

The Design and Modeling students at ACMS designed, built, and painted corn hole boards for Advanced PT to use as therapy equipment to assist patients in their rehabilitation and treatment program in a fun and engaging way.  The students interacted and communicated with the physical therapists at Advanced PT throughout the process to make sure their boards would be a benefit to the clinic.  Each of the designs are original and created by a team of three or four students.  During the process, the students learned to change dimensions as the boards needed to scaled down for indoor use.  They were required to draw their boards both isometriclly as well as orthographiclly and then using a CAD program create a 3D model of their boards.  Once completed, these boards were presented to Dr. Jessica Scram and Dr. Grant Trembly, both physical therapists at the Tanglewood Advanced Therapy Clinic in Derby.  The boards will be distributed to eight of the Advanced Physical Therapy clinics including the clinic in Andover.
