School starts at 8 a.m. and ends at 3 p.m. At 7:35 a.m, students can eat breakfast in the commons or go to their grade level pod. At 7:50 a.m. the bell rings signaling 10 minutes until the start of first hour, allowing students to go to their lockers and head to first hour.

You will have 4 core classes (English, Math, Science, Social Studies) and two elective classes. Your
music and P.E. class will rotate on an A/B schedule, while your other elective hour will be the same daily for a 9 week period.

Central time is our time to focus on social emotional learning and 21st century skills. This can include information about colleges, trade schools, credits, paying bills, good study habits and more.

Students will be given an agenda which will have passes, day by day calendars, and ways for them to keep track of assignments.

During our 6th grade Meet Your Teacher Night, 6th grade students and their parents will be able to meet teachers, tour the building, and get into their lockers.

Currently, ACMS has around 580 students. Most of your 6th grade classmates come to ACMS from Meadowlark, Prairie Creek, and Sunflower Elementary Schools.

Ms. Craft and Mrs. Flores are the principal and counselor for all 8th grade students and 6th grade students A-L.

Mrs. Seibel and Mrs. Guerrero are the principal and counselor for all 7th grade students and 6th grade students M-Z.

Besides the first day of school, you will report to your grade level pod to visit and relax until the school day starts. Doors open at 7:35 a.m. Car riders are dropped off in the back of the building and buses will pull in the front. At 7:50 a.m, a bell will ring releasing students from the pod. Classes then start at 8 a.m.

Students will be able to fill out a counseling form located in their counselor’s Google classroom. In this Google classroom (the code is given on the first day) students will also find announcements and other important information. Students having an emergency will be allowed to come down to the counselor as needed with permission from a staff member.
